Walking Beside You in the
Journey to
Belonging
We help newcomers build confidence, community, and clarity as they navigate life, study, and work in Aotearoa.
Where Lived Experience Meets Expertise
EduventureNZ was founded by Pratishtha Purohit – a cultural intelligence and career practitioner who’s walked the path she now guides others through.
Arriving in New Zealand with 15 years of leadership experience, Pratishtha discovered that qualifications alone don’t unlock belonging. The real lessons were in the spaces between – navigating unwritten rules, rebuilding confidence, and learning what connection truly means in Aotearoa.
Over the past 14 years, her work has spanned both sides of this journey – supporting more than 3,000 international students while also working alongside Māori and Pasifika communities at grassroots level. This rare dual perspective now shapes every program and partnership EduventureNZ delivers.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower international students and migrants to thrive in New Zealand, both inside and outside the classroom and workplace. We build on their strengths and provide honest, culturally grounded support at every step of their journey.
Our Vision
Founder’s Message
Kia ora, and Naumai (welcome)
Like many of you, I came to New Zealand carrying ambition, hope, and a lifetime of experience -including fifteen years in leadership roles. Yet, arriving here meant setting that aside and starting afresh. No matter how much I’d achieved before, I found myself back at square one – navigating new systems, wrestling with doubt, and learning to build belonging in ways I’d never needed to before.
I saw quickly that the most important lessons weren’t in handbooks or checklists, but in the messy in-betweens: figuring out unwritten rules, awkward challenges, overcoming cultural misunderstandings, and reclaiming confidence when mine was challenged. Sometimes it felt lonely, even as I was surrounded by opportunity.
Working across government, education, and community, I met thousands of newcomers with similar stories. Brilliant, hard-working, courageous people – battling invisible barriers, losing sight of their strengths, and pressured to fit in while trying not to lose themselves.
That’s why I founded EduventureNZ: to walk beside you in these spaces, so you never have to do it alone. Our work is about much more than skills or practical tips – it’s about clarity, community, and encouragement. Together, we help you translate your doubts and past experience into confidence and belonging for your future, so every step in Aotearoa is made with courage, creativity, and heart.
Because this isn’t about shrinking to fit in, it’s about growing into who you’re becoming, right here, with all you bring.
With belief in your journey,
Pratishtha Purohit
