I was very lucky to get a chance to work with Pratishtha as a part of work connect programme.
Pratishta not only helped me in improving my C.V. but also helped me prepare for the interview, help build better professional relationships and provided me many insights into my professional personality which was a much-needed boon during my job hunt!

I attended Pratishtha’s Work Connect workshop in July 2021, received valuable tips for looking for a job in New Zealand. Next month, I got a lecturer job at the Western Institute of Technology Taranaki (WITT). Isn’t awesome? It was a career change from construction manager to construction management lecturer. Pratishtha is the most experienced out of the five career coaches that I have worked with in New Zealand. My advice for future international students coming to New Zealand is to speak with an experienced career coach like Pratishtha before you begin your New Zealand education adventure. You will be surprised when you realize your expectation is often very different from the reality. New Zealand is a beautiful country with many opportunities but you must get advice from an experienced career coach like Pratishtha so you pick the right education from the right institution/polytechnic/university that suits your background and is also in high demand to increase the probability of receiving New Zealand residency.

I truly admire Pratishtha—she’s an expert in her craft! I enjoyed every part of the Eduventure workshops, from learning about cultures and communication to understanding how to navigate the New Zealand market.

What I appreciated most is that she doesn’t teach from textbooks – she teaches from real-life experience. It finally made sense to me why volunteering and gaining Kiwi experience are so important here, even if you already have years of experience from your home country.
